what happened between verlaine and rimbaud is so interesting to me for no reason. They got into a relationship when Rimbaud was only 17 and Verlaine was 27 causing a 10 year age gap. theyre relationship was very hectic and agressive yet they were still together for two years, verlaine even left his wife and kids for rimbaud.

Even in their relationship shockingly, there was love. And that's what disgusts me. Verlaine and Rimbaud did love eachother, that's very transparent and the fact that they got eachother in many ways and understood eachother is basically what held it together, but it was always destined to end in disastor.
