how december went

Wow. I am late again. Who could've expected that,,, /s

anyways, December was decent. a lot happened.

so firstly December was the most tension my town has faced. But I still managed to have a good time!!

I watched The Ones Within anime! It was great but it ended on such an awful note. Good for fanfics tho.

On the 4th SF-A2 miki's synthesizer V was announced!! and I went insane in a good way!! She's like one of my faves ever I love her SO MUCH AND I'M SO HAPPY THAT SHE'S GETTING AN UPDATE!!

So on the 11th I had my tzav rishon!! Basically the first step in the mandated service recruiting process. Not anything active about the roles but more like, checkups and the similar. It was alright, just VERY painstaking. It also took like two hours for the personal interview part. At least after that I got shawarma and the dude spoiled me with extra meat, shit was delightful.

Also, that same day, my alarm clock was... The hezbollah tossing missiles my way!! To say the least it for sure woke me up.

On the 14th I attended an Orphaned Land show!! It was nice to know they performed even with the hardships of this war. It was WONDERFUL!! And I was there with a friend I really wanted to meet up with!! I also tried inviting her for my family's new years celebration but she couldn't come </3

Anyways on the 31st, we had a HUGE new years celebration. My parents invited their friends and asked them to bring along their kids (I do not know any of these people). It was still fun. One of the dudes asked me what I listen to bc I was sitting in a Lorna Shore hoodie (aside from that the outfit was very Adam Sandler-ish) which was nice bc I could tell someone irl about Bell Witch and other funeral doom and doom-death bands.

Anyways Vsynth releases!! I am very normal about singing robots!! Usually December has a lot of releases so this was a wonderful time for vsynths.

On the 7th, released Dreamtonics letter series vocals Ayame and Jin! They're cool, I don't have any strong feelings about them. But I love Ayame's colors

On the 11th, released SEKAI's voicepeak!! for those wondering, voicepeak is the tts equivalent of Synthesizer V. It's awesome!! they did her justice ::D also Anri arcane but I don't like her company so I'm not even gonna mention her. I don't like the direction they took her in at all.

On the 17th, released Minus' AI voicebank!! the highly anticipated database that was assumed cancelled!! She got a redesign which is ADORABLE but it's not very Minus yk. It feels weird seeing her eyes since her standard has a mask on. But I still love the new design, the dress is really cute and it's for sure way easier to cosplay as that one lol.

On the 20th, Gumi's SynthV voicebank was released!! honestly I did not expect that but hey who am I to complain about multiplatform synths. In fact I think they're a great idea, problem is Gumi's SynthV is VERY poorly executed. It grew on me, but changing her accent color from red to blue was... an odd move. And she has SO little training data that she's really hard to use and has plenty of problem compared to other SynthVs. Could've been worse tho.

On the 21st, ROSE and POPY's SynthVs were released!! They sound AMAZING, I just miss the CeVIO buzz. I love the new boxart's posing!! CeVIO's was kind of lacking and a little stiff but the SynthV ones are very pretty.

On the 25th (Christmas to those who celebrate), released 4 previously announced vocaloid6 voices!! Problem is they break the engine and trying to use voicebanks released for older V6 versions made the voicebanks deactivate. But that aside I LOVE THEM!! Shion's def my fave, but I don't have strong feelings about him. Sakura, Taku, and Asahi sound alright. I'm waiting for Aya now because she seems v promising!!

On the 26th, Oscar released on Synthesizer V! Oscar is from the same series as Xia Yu Yao, which was released in late January of 2023. He sounds cool!! I don't have any solid opinion about him yet, I need to hear more of his usage. Not too impressed by his design it's kinda boring compared to Xia Yu Yao imo.

And that concludes all the releases in December.
