definitely something ill never understand. none of her music stands out to me in terms of both lyrics and melody. anytime some reccomends me songs to listen to, i struggle with finding the deep meanings everyones talking about.
i dont hate her or think shes a bad person (if we put her CO2 emissions aside), but her music just isnt great. its straight up boring.

-CO2 emissions (bc you rlly cannot just look past that when there r so many other options for her to take)
-utilizes feminism n her privilege as a white woman to her advantage only when it benefits her, otherwise is not outspoken about women struggles besides her own(i.e. the lack of feminine hygeine products in gaza or the general mistreatment of women around the world or even in the US with the overturning of Roe v Wade,for example).
-is named times person of the year purely bc she is white and famous,has done nothing to actually justify this position when compared to previous people of the year like the Ukraine pres., greta etc even if she does technically qualify by being a highlight/something important of the year (as in, nothing of significance is done using her platform of mostly yt women who also hold a position of power in society, and instead actively use that to be straight up menaces to people of color and other artists in the music industry)
- she just rlly isnt that good of an artist, her songs r all copy n paste for the most part

I don't get it either like I have nothing against her she just bored me after her 2010s era
