a sweet day

i somehow managed to get out of bed for my doctor's appointment, even though i am generally really fatigued. i got written sick, so i decided to go to the library. i actually found the sequel to 'the last hours' and i am So excited to read it! i got really attached to the characters. it's been a while since i felt this way about a book. maybe abandoning YA novels in favor of other genres paid off! i really need more historical novels about medieval ages, preferably in polish or english... german is okay too, i just don't like the flow of the sentences as much.

i found a pdf about historical herbology and herbarium manuscripts online for free! i will definitely write a post about it sometime, once i finish reading it. i really can't wait to learn more.

i encountered a very talented trio playing various ragtime-esque musical pieces outside the library. it was really nice to settle down next to them for a while while i waited out the rain. i had my ear protectors on so i could focus on the music well despite all the cars and people around.

i went around looking for a birthday gift for my sweetheart (he turns 23 in two days!). he never has enough lego so i bought him one of the indiana jones ones, the one with the car and a plane from the second movie, since he already has the temple. i didn't want to buy him sweets but just lego felt kind of dull, so i threw the barbie movie dvd in for a good measure, because he wanted to watch it with me, lol.

sadly, my local retro gaming store is closed for another 10 days before i can check it out for a PSP and patapon 3. i really miss it, it feels so wrong to walk around electronics stores and only see the newest games and consoles on the shelves. even the 3ds game boxes are very scarce nowadays... at least i got a time to get an orange smoothie at my favourite smoothie booth, i swear i could drink all my calories there if i could! 

my earguards did a good job protecting me from overwhelm, but i feel like i am gonna collapse for a while once i get home. but at least i can rest before visiting my darling. i can't wait for us to move in together one day :)
