Yapping about Creepypastas :P

So lately I have been thinking about diffrnet Creepypasta stories and I have came to the conclusion that most of the Iconic "Creepypastas" aren't acctually one. Let me explain.

By the definition, creepypasta is a "horror-related legend which has been shared around the Internet.The term creepypasta has since become a catch-all term for any horror content posted onto the Internet." Which means that to be a "true" Creepypasta the story needs to be shared aroud the internet, muliple times by diffrent ppl on diffrent online forums and stuff. It has many variants, but usually focuses on one character, object or a place. Just like a normal legend.

So for example, when we look at creepypastas like "Clockwork,"Play With Me" or "Nurse Ann"  we can see that they are more of an Creepypasta OC backstory. So these are just OCs of diffrent ppl from the fandom that got REALLY popular. Another great example of this is Ticci Toby who used to be a HUGE Creepypasta but the creator decided to leave the fandom, and stated that Tobby is no longer a Creepypasta and its just his OC. Most of them come from The Creepypasta Wiki where everyone can share their Creepypasta OCS or storys.

Of course I still love these Creepypastas. i just wanted to share this with ppl to see what they think. Its important to remember the other half of the definition! Anything horror related can be a creepypasta. 

I think about all of this as a theory of some sort (or something similar)!!
