i was a flying fish

last night i had a dream i was a fish who lived on the bottom of a lake.

the other fish and i would swim around and find human items that had fallen in. then we would swim very fast towards the surface until we leaped out and threw the items into the sand.

we did this to "use them later", as if we knew we were human or would one day become them. 

 i suppose i'm not much of a human either, but i'm definitely not a fish.
