For the people who like thrifting :)

Thrift stores, places where you can find some great things, or some not as great things. (Those things you think are cute but then it's an overpriced SHEIN item.)

(I don't support SHEIN, but if you find something you like at a thrift store that is SHEIN, buy it. You're not directly supporting SHEIN...)

What are the different types of stores? Bins, Donation centers, and boutiques.

Bins: Hardest, but usually the cheapest type of thrifting. Having to dig through dirty bins where a lot of stuff could be ripped or full of holes, not guaranteed to find anything. If you do bin thrifting, bring gloves, hand sanitizer, and even a friend. This requires patience, if you don't have patience this isn't the most ideal type of thrifting. For payment, you usually pay by weight.

Donation Centers: Donation centers are places like Goodwill. These places sort and price their items individually. Most of the clothes are in good condition, and not dirty, but there is still a chance things will be dirty and or ripped. I'd recommend bringing hand sanitizer, because even if things look clean, they might not be clean.

Boutiques: Most expensive type of thrift. Boutiques hand pick each item, and they clean the items as well. You have the highest chance of finding vintage, designer, or clothes you may be looking for here. Even though they clean the clothes I'd still bring hand sanitizer because who knows who has touched the stuff.

When is the best time to go thrifting?  Earlier in the week, at earlier times of day.

These times are good because you can beat other people who would buy all the good stuff you may be looking for. As well as a lot of thrift stores restock earlier in the week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.) If you want to know exactly when they restock I would call the store.

Thrifting takes a while, so don't be surprised if it takes a few hours, especially if you go to more than one thrift store. I personally like putting on my headphones while I sift through things.

(This post is really random, I just wanted to try to blog something on here for the first time.)
