So, I made a New Year's Resolution to make a video game before I'm 16 cuz if another 15 year old (Andreas Ronnberg) can do it then so can I! So I'm not gonna go as ambitious as something like Afraid of Monsters but something more 2D and basically work my way up to something like Afraid of Monsters (Graphically and coding wise) I chose the coding language Lua to start off as all the other languages seemingly take over 5 hours to learn their BASICS. After that I installed a game maker engine called LOVE and it's used specifically for 2D games. But my problems arise when the guide to using their services is quite confusing (at least to someone like me who has never touched code before) So far all I've done is copy paste a starting line of code from the guide, since I learned Lua and the guide instructs u to add Lua to your files in some form. But in the tutorial I learned from they didn't mention the naming thing in the slightest, so one of these is the right way to use Lua and the other is the wrong way. So far all I can hope for is that, if the way I learned is wrong, the right way will be easier to learn. But other than that have a great rest of your day/night!!!
More about Video Game Coding (Specifically Lua and how it's confused me)

if you want to use a graphical game engine while still using a similarly simple language, you should check out godot!!! it uses gdscript, which is mostly similar to python. it's completely free & open source and pretty approachable so i really recommend it! i use it a lot :3
