[Sketch/Writing Diary] Something's breweeeeeeing!!!

Inspiration struck and I'm finally writing a story that takes place in the historical period of my fantasy universe's timeline. I have a multiverse, this is only one of the universes, there's three more and two extradimensional realms. I've been working on my multiverse slowly since I was a teen and over the past year or two I've been reworking it a lot.

You can tell I take worldbuilding very seriously from the poorly traced map I pasted on the page. Also yeah that locational description is kinda silly cause I wanted it to be super specific... and then I went and traced the map anyway.

ANYWAY. I used to write lots of stories for a specific continent of this world. That continent was much smaller and so far has the most lore of all my multiverse cause I loved making wild stories for it. It's basically a magical hotspot and lots of weird ass stuff happens there, lots of colorful characters, the fauna and flora wants you dead; tons of fun overall.

This continent you're seeing, however, is what they call "The Great Continent", cause it's the biggest one, and it's the one with the longest history, though it's much more politically developed and has had the most amount of wars and kingdoms and shit. The story is like a political revenge thing that involves those two kingdoms in the picture. I'm not sure how far into this specific story I'll get, not sure how long it'll take to complete into something consumable, and not even sure if I'll publish it in one way or another at all, but it's gonna be fun, although pretty dark.

On that note, I used to write very dark stories, not because I was edgy, but because they were a way to cope with my own trauma and issues. I like making characters that have just one or two aspects of myself or things I know, and then putting them in scenarios that are completely made up and see what happens. I love writing dark comedies, family dramas, dark romance, revenge stories, found family stuff, and also completely made up stuff with fun characters and scenarios that just have bits of darker stuff in them. And also I'm edgy LOL

If you've been following my art posts, you may have already noticed that I like to include dark topics in my work. Or maybe not, cause I haven't shared much yet and I honestly don't know how my art and writing comes across to other people.

Maybe I'll post more of my narrative work, not just my silly sketches of my characters saying one or two things from the novel length story I've written for them. Maybe. I want to, but I'm still very shy about sharing my work because I know people get really pissy when things aren't squeaky clean, healthily portrayed, and morally righteous.

That's it for tonight. Coffee break over, going back to trying to wrangle my neurons to do something cool. Come on brain, do the thing, do a funny.
