2024 Met Gala Theme

The Met Gala theme for 2024 is shortly titled "Sleeping Beauties". The idea behind it is to wake up fashion and that it's time for a reawakening. What could this mean? I think the fundamental idea here is to think about the fashion industry over the past few years and realize, "What the hell happened?" Fashion right now has gotten out of control and things need to change. Could it also mean that we need to wake up from the sluggish and frumpy fashion that's in right now? Perhaps it's time for the sweatpants, crocs with socks, hoodies, and clothes that may be "too comfortable" to lay down to rest? After all, comfortable clothing was designed for athletic purposes or sleeping or lounging; not going to dinner in them. What do you think? Do you think it's time for a change in fashion?
