About me!

Hey there!

I'm a millennial who happen to be alive at the time when MySpace was actually a thing. Back then I was still at high school making friends and dreaming about love and being a mid 2000s teenager. That was a long time ago! Nowadays, I dedicate my time mostly to computer science and technology. And one of my biggest hobbies is to bring back the past!

About a year ago I discovered this site, and thought it was really cool to have a classic MySpace replacement. So I made an "mockup" account, kinda as a joke but also to have something to simulate the experience of using a computer back in the days, along with Escargot MSN. I didn't know this but apparently there is a lot more people than I thought using this platform. So when I recently noticed that nearly 400k people saw my profile, I was a little bit surprised. So I decided to reorganize this profile to tell you a little bit more about myself.

I'm not really looking for much, I'm here mostly for the nostalgia, but if you want to say something then go ahead! You can also find me on mastodon/misskey/whatever federated microblogging platform you use at @enigmatico@mk.absturztau.be (this is where you will find me for sure), and maybe on (Escargot) MSN at enigmatico@escargot.chat. I'm open to talk to people, as long as it's cool people with good intent.

My avatar is a 3D avatar I made using a game, in case you are curious. It's not VR Chat (yet) and I don't use VR chat much because I'm too shy to speak to people with a microphone and all that.

See ya!

I remember being in the forums they had at the time, I used to go to the Spanish communities for the most part, and it wasn't as friendly (sadly). I think that's one of the major changes hehe. Also they didn't have a phone app because smartphones were still not mainstream, though they did have a chat you could install on your computer. Not sure if they added that later.

Thank you for your comment!
