the gonk in question^

V / VEE / VINCENT / VOMIT. 26 year old waste-of-space dorph-head uneducated borderline-illiterate difficult-to-manage and unlovable merc-for hire. he sucks major fucking ass. AND he's dumb as rocks. i love him~

vee was sold out by some corpo-skanks who needed some dope, quick, and knew a drug lord who needed a runner. he was bartered at the tender age of "newborn" and never knew any other life than the dog kennel he was then confined to. random thievery, grand larceny, armed burglaries, and more, vee became the primary cash-cow for "BIG DAWG", mildly-unknown cyberware peddler to the Maelstrom gang in the early 2050s. vee was known as "mutt" by his "dad", b-dawg, who never bothered naming or caring for the children who came to be in his possession. he was taught early that to steal or kill was to earn the right to eat.

when mutt finally got out, he realized that the great outdoors he had fantasized about from within his dog cage was nothing more than an illusion, or a dream. here in night city, it's kill or be killed. rob or be robbed. he quickly fell back on old habits to get by. He thus became another one of the various ambitious, thorny pests in night city's underbelly.

anarcho-shitbag low-intelligence shit-starter pot-stirring low-life metalhead alt-goth dumbass, vee wiggled his dirty and loud-mouthed way into viktor vektor's chop-shop.... and heart~. surprisingly. despite being a real "piece of work" that needs to "learn how to keep that mouth of [his] shut, sometimes".

vik became like a surrogate father to vee, seeing a lot of himself from his youth in this little scamp. on viktor's gentle persuasion, vee dropped the name mutt and instead picked up a name of vik's chosing, a real proper adult name. one that starts with v to keep the tradition going. now christened "vincent" or vee, and sporting new ware to help him get a leg into the world beyond, vee finally became more than just a regular-old nuisance.

... that is until the ever-increasing drug addiction and cyberpsychosis began making him twitchy and paranoid, skulking back to vik too messed up, too many times to count. on vik's ultimatum, ("You've gotta get clean, kid. I aint doin' this for you again. I can't."), vee was shipped off to rehab-- a fancy place in atlanta to clear his head and get himself righted once and for all. it's hard to take the dope out of a dorph-head, but returning to night city with his head on straight did help to keep the psychosis at bay.

vee is unintentionally misogynistic, uninformed, and ignorant. he has a low intelligence modifier, and tends to say the first things that come to his mouth, non-maliciously offending most people he comes across. he often gets his ass jumped by every other gonk in the city, but somehow still endears himself accidentally to the right people. he unintentionally became a bit of a commodity to the Mox, especially Judy, who regrettably has an "I can fix him" kind of attitude about his gangly ass.

he is vocal about how he is a "bit uncomfy" about gay/bisexual men, despite proving time and time and again that he is somewhat attracted to men as well, even if he doesn't realize it. he unmaliciously is homophobic and transphobic, due to being uninformed and a bit dumb. he randomly becomes "woke" by pure accident, because for the most part his heart is in the right place, despite his loud and aggressively stupid mouth. it helps having johnny in his head to ask dumb questions to, but it's really saying something that Johnny Silverhand of all people is the most polite of the two.

he's introverted, despite his outward appearance and presentation. he never received a proper social upbringing, so he emulates the gang-bangers and overly-confidant mercs he was raised around. johnny's initial view of vee is that he's a two-bit ganger with a "masochistic death wish and rocks for brains", but as the two travel together, johnny uncovers that he is a "true misunderstood type", who is so secretly-sensitive that even vee himself doesn't realize that he is.

his tarot card representation is The Hanged Man.
he has no canon birthday, as he is not in any official birth records. all records of him in night city were created as a favor to him by Padre sebastian ibarra after vee became a reliable runner for him prior to the events of the game.
he is red-green color blind, but doesn't know it. the colors are not corrected by the kiroshi implants because he has never told vik about his color perception, therefor the implants have not been attuned properly.
his favorite genres of music are metal and hard rock, he and johnny bond over playing the guitar and listening to music. autism win!
his horns are silicone dermal implants, the red tips are manually put on with makeup. his eyes are black kiroshi implants, and his eye-crosses are made with charcoal makeup. he has over 30 piercings, including jacob's ladder piercings.
he has brain damage from being shot in the head, which caused his thoughts to sometimes be unordered and his words to come out slurred and in the wrong order occasionally. he will have ocular migraines that cause him to lose entire days at a time with no warning.
his character theme is "Survivors" by Red Orca. alt song is also "Away From Me" by 3TEETH
he has fullbody tattoos, however i'm lazy and i hardly ever draw them.
his canon birth parents are actually two moderately wealthy corpos who became addicted to uppers right before he was born. it's possible he was born with deficiencies because of his mother's drug usage when he was a fetus. both of his birth-parents are alive, no longer living in night city. they have no idea their son is still alive, and he has no idea he has real parents. missed connections and all that...
his canon ending is the suicide-ending. buuuut i can dream...
