New Year, New Me! (Self Improvement)

Happy New Year and Blessed 2024, everyone! i know i know, its time for the cheesy joke. I haven’t talked to you guys in a year lol. 

So, just like the title says, I’m working on myself and improving every square inch of myself or whatever the unit of measurement for the mental and emotional growth of a person is. 

Since I quit my job at Speedway, i’ve had time to think about what I want to do and who I want to be in the future. I know we’re only supposed to think about the present and not worry about the future, but it’s present day growth that makes your future self more mature. 

Not only am i working on myself and going to therapy every two weeks, I’m also updating my bedroom. That’s my tip for the day! in order to grow and change, your environment has to change too. Rearrange your bedroom, buy a new lamp, paint a picture and hang it on the wall. the possibilities are endless when it comes to your space. 

I, myself, rearranged my room, and every paycheck was spent on updating something about my room. i’m not letting being jobless hinder my growth though. Today, my dad and I were in Meijers, and i got a new lamp because my old lamp didn’t really serve me anymore. it still works but I was ready for something better. I got a lamp shade too and a garbage bin that says “sunshine on my mind”. it’s a nice thing to see every day. 

I’ve also been reading more recently, even audiobooks count as reading, right? Anyways i better get to bed now.
