For almost two months now I've been continuously looking for a job. Doom-scrolling on indeed for hours to find nothing remotely close that I actually can apply for. I'm fresh out of school, not in college and probably wont be any time soon so every job in my area I either can't apply for because you have to be 21+ or need a degree. Anything I DO qualify for I apply to and I'm always met with a rejection email 3 weeks later. They don't even ask me for an interview. It's not like I have no experience either. A few of these places have even been "urgently hiring" and don't even interview me. My resume is fine. It has my past work experiences and skills I have. My availability is 100% open. I do nothing all day. What am I doing wrong? I'm applying for jobs that require almost nothing and I'm not even being interviewed. I have a year and half of experience which I know isn't a but I'm 18 applying for fucking fast food/retail jobs. I have gotten one interview in 2 months and I don't think I'm getting a call back which sucks because I thought the interview was going well. The interviewer asked me how many hours I wanted to work per week and I said "minimum 30." I don't think that's asking for a lot when I applied for a full time position, but right after I said that he ended the interview. I don't even care about the pay anymore. I just need to get out of the house. I need something to occupy myself with every day. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong or if I'm just applying to every single job too late and someone else gets the position first.

if it makes you feel better, I'm struggling too with getting into the graphic design field despite having a decent portfolio and a bachelor's :(( Right now I'm just taking a timeout with job searching for a bit and just working on making my portfolio go from good to STELLAR. You're not alone!💕💕
