I hate it SO SO MUCH SOOOO MUCH when I find a cute character from a visual novel and it's nsfw like there are so many cute 2000s anime girls in lolita clothing (my favorite style, my style too) but all of them are nsfw and sooo sexual it hurts me physically... Like I google them and I see them get sexualized and naked and stuff and I hate it so much ( T_T)... And usually the characters are CHILDREN. Can anybody relate?? :(( ( T_T)＼(^-^ ) btw I love visual novels a lot... But ones that aren't like that tho...

It sucks fr, at least some of them (but sadly it's a minority) have console ports which were updated versions without nsfw stuff and are changed with better scenes with even more story development. Sometimes there's even fanpatches that remove all that stuff and I'll always be so grateful towards that heroes

Yezzzz it's soooo annoying, love visual novels, i wish the target audience wouldn't be lonely middle aged Japanese men. And the most annoying part is when the eroge scenes are important to the plot, so I can't just skip them. Like the concept isn't bad but daaamnn do I wish I wouldn't have to go through long ass eroge scenes with characters that look like they are in middle school max.
Same issue with the merch too, even if the vn doesn't even have these type of things, half the merch will be as sexualizing as posibile. Hate it.

Same, I hate when I find an old school vn that has a really nice art style, seems to tick all of my boxes, it gets praised/recommended as really interesting and deep, and then it turns out theres nsfw of underage characters (or looks very underage). disappointed but not surprised, i know i *could* ignore those aspects and focus on the plot but it still bothers me too much ig.

it's super bad that MOST older visual novels have underage characters (or ones that look under age) are super sexualized :/
