NOT a new years blog, DRAMA? (12)

so everyone is making a new years blog, which yeah, pretty predictable LMAO. i guess happy new years for those who are on the other side of the world, but as for i, it is still lovely 2023. i dont have new years resolution, but i do have some small rants. 

it’s time. so, i make homestuck fantroll ocs, and i am in some smaller roleplay servers to roleplay as them. i have a lot of fun giving my characters a backstory, personality, etc. now, the one rp group im in, is small, and consists of about 6 people, including me. ive realized over the past few weeks(though i’ve been in this server specifically for a few months,) that they all REALLY like my characters (and this isnt me trying to toot my own horn.) so there is a couple, and so weeks ago, this girl posts a new fantroll/oc and it looks exactly like the new one i made/showed off a few days prior. i confronted her about it, and she was fine with changing it, because she legitimately copied my character, and the character i posted that she copied, i wasnt even using for the roleplay or had any intentions to. 

that was just one instance. however, around 2 days ago, i was talking to her boyfriend, who i had talked to for hours about one of my fantrolls that is IN the roleplay, and it was fun, and a good talk. or so i thought. because TODAY, this dude literally posts a fantroll that is SO similar to the one i talked to him for hours about, and i cant seem to find a poor excuse for it not being copied. im not trying to be petty, but this is the SECOND time that this has happened— and i know the two well enough within the past months to know they are jealous people, and it’s just annoying. one time was enough, the second time, it should’ve NEVER HAPPENED.

they're both somewhat emotional people, and if i confront them about him copying my character, and they claim that he is not, im going to seem as if i have some sort of egotistical complex-- which i dont think i have. whatever, its fine. i would've taken this as a compliment that others around me are inspired to base their characters off of mine, but when you're so blatantly copying me without any sort of credit/inspiration, its irritating. anyways, ill probably do nothing about this, but man. enjoy THY JUICE...
