Heya luvs,
This is my first blog post and I wanted to start with sharing some glow up tips and tricks you can easily do everyday over the winter break and to start the new year off well!
Physical:
- Drink a lot of water daily | If you are forgetful or dislike the taste of plain water try setting reminders or adding fruits in your water bottle like lemons
- Get at least 8 hours of sleep daily | ASMR, Sleep masks and hot drinks can help with insomnia and don't go on your phone as soon as you wake up
- Establish a simple and regular skincare routine | A cleanser, toner, moisturizer and spf is all you really need, just pick products right for your skin type and don't skip your routine
- Do at least 2 hours of exercise a week | Youtube home work outs can work wonders and can be easy for beginners and short to space out through the week
- Take everything showers once a week | This serves as a reset to your week and takes care of your hygiene by being more attentive to detail
- Eat healthy | Make sure you have balanced meals with at least one or two fruits daily by replacing snacks with them as they have amazing benefits and can be fun like cutting them up and eating them with honey or can be eaten with yogurt
- Keep a clean space | Having a clean space helps your mental health as well and keeps you productive, make your bed as soon as you wake up and make sure to keep things in their place
- Go through your wardrobe | Donate anything you don't like or have grown out of or if it can't be donated cut it up to use for cleaning! Make sure you have basic pieces like solid tops and bottoms and not trend hop to save your money and the planet
Mental:
- Keep around those who make you happy | Happiness is essential so keep hanging around with your true reliable friends and step away from those who you realize aren't making you happy
- Keep on top of your studies | Remember to do your assignments on time and revise when you have upcoming assessments, making reliable notes during class can really come in handy and help you progress, don't be afraid to ask for help
- Express your emotions | Writing down your feelings in blogs or a journal or just talking to someone can really help your mental health and regulate your emotions
- Affirmations work wonders | Stop picking at every insecurity and thing you don't like about yourself, instead list and say what you do like about yourself and how you can realistically improve the parts you think need improving
- Keep good connections | Make friends, spend time with family, bond with others and build stable relationships you can rely on and bring you joy, you'll regret not living your life and socializing
Finally be consistant !! There's no point in doing all this work for you to give up because you don't see immediate results, trust me all the good you do for yourself comes in handy at some point in life
I know you may have heard this all before or I haven't said anything groundbreaking, however we all need these little reminders on how to be the best versions of ourselves
