• 14 december 1948 - vardanyan born to a father (viktor vardanyan) and no siblings. (there's a secret sister but shh) his mother dies after childbirth on the 15th of december but i'm not gonna make a whole new bullet 4 that. of armenian descent, born in zaporizhzhia city
• 2 december 1953 - viktor dies of (unspecified illness lmfao, buried in mariupol) arsen moves to leningrad, russia with "uncle" who is literally just his uncle and his name is uncle lol (5)
• 20 january 1957 - same day arsen writes his letter to his mother. ALSO the day uncle makes arsen kill an opponent (more on this later. ?? a pattern occurs where uncle is the big bad for baby arsen and just generally being terrible) (9)
• 1960(unspecified) - arsen gets into a knife fight and gets a nasty scar on his eye. that's all i wrote in my notes. idrk the context either but i'll make some, i did this mostly because he's always had a scar on his eye...... and scars get there somehow (12)
• 1962-1964 - began importing western music and selling it to other kids at school, or anyone who would buy them. a stop was put to it when uncle found all the records fall out the top shelf of arsen's closet. (14-16)
• 20 may 1966 - arsen vardanyan marries marina [] zerenia in odessa. i don't have a lot of backstory on her but i'll know she'll be important in the future. (18)
• august 1966 - married, they move together to a small apartment in kyiv city. 
• 14 december 1966 - joins the military
• 1969 - 3 years after joining the military, he is promoted into the kgb to work with DEAR BELOVED UNCLE. (not with, but yk.... alongside) i explain away his ranking with: soviet union corrupt, uncle high ranking official. so technecially, arsen is served his career on a silver platter after being stationed (and not seeing combat) in vietnam.. • 14 febuary 1970 - alyosha [] vardanyan is born WOOO. not much to say abt her 4 now (22)
• 26 april 1973 - CHORNOBYL FUCKING EXPLODES
• 30 april 1973 - arsen selected for chornobyl comission, js to make sure shit doesn't get out. oh btw it (explosion) is like x5 worse. yippie (25)
• 3 may 1973- arsen realizes radiation probably isnt safe for anyone and, as an "anniversary gift" leases a lavish home for his family in odessa, to which they go and live in.

• january 1978 - arsen is transfered to the "tuzhar institute." i'll elaborate on the tuzhar institute in another blog. for now, it studies the chornobyl explosion 
• 1984 - bro is fucking KIDNAPPED LMFAO. and some other stuff i cant say bc it's relevant to plot.... anyway that's where his timeline ends for.... unspecified reasons. i want to say he gets un kidnapped and goes home to family, but....... idk ill decide that when i get there

UNCLE: okay the note. the NOTE. i talked about the note arsen wrote to his mother earlier. and i can see you scratching your head asking "but zhenya, i thought his mother died?" you'd be CORRECT. uncle's just a fucking dirtbag. he made arsen write that letter so that uncle could mail it to (some random lady i guess.) so that he could send arsen to her in a nice comfy POSTAL BOX and he'd think it's his mom, so that arsen isn't uncle's problem anymore. (this goes absolutely nowhere btw lmfao arsen never gets shipped off. unfortunately.) uncle's behavior is due to his own father being like himself, and a hate for viktor, his brother and arsen's father. felt like arsen was "pushed on" to him after his father dies, despite not having any other living relatives. (even when viktor was alive, uncle felt the dependency from his brother after the loss of his wife)
