TRYING OUT LINUX FOR THE THIRD TIME AND FINALLY LOVING IT

As the title would suggest this is my third time trying it out, it's been fun except for finding a virtual machine that actually worked, or having to go into BIOS to enable virtual machines to even work in the first place, or the bugs or crashes that come with a virtual machine, or even picking a distro in the first place but aside from that, Linux is great!!!

I first tried it out mint, thought it looked too much like windows, then tried fedora but realized I'd rather be able to actually customize my desktop environment and that gnome would be too limiting, spent frankly way too long researching what distros i could try out before just settling for mint anyways

First impressions on mint are that it is way more customizable then i thought it was and that it is very easy to use, I'd set it up for my mom if she didn't need windows specific apps. its also really easy to install and update apps with the software manager and it makes me so disappointed with the state of the Microsoft Store and how they've utterly failed to provide a centralized app manager, even apple does it better
Even if it's not on the manager, downloading something through the terminal is very cool and it makes me feel like a hacker

It also feels nice to feel like I'm in control of my computer, not even just customization but the fact I'm not being actively spied on by a mega corporation while using it is pretty cool i think

My only gripe is that it's kind of slow but that's kinda just how virtual machines are, even with VMware it still has it's hiccups here and there. Also that it's not my daily driver, maybe someday, but not today

I don't really know how to end this blog other than i think Linux is pretty awesome and that more people should use it
My desktop :DMy desktop btw (๑ > ᴗ < ๑) (I love bojack)
