I'm on a trip to the UK, so tell me why the fuck I can't understand what anyone says. I've spoken English since I was 8 and whenever I'm trying to communicate with a brit it sounds like they're summoning Satan right in front of me. Am I dumb or are they just speaking gibberish I swear I'm not coming back to this God forsaken place

immigrant in the uk here - it was so fucking confusing moving here for the first time eventually i got used to it and it even like blended with my thick eastern european accent after 8 years of living here but i'll still encounter people and wont be able to understand them ahhaha
Wait, knowing that made me feel so much better lmfao. At least I'm not the only clueless one here.
