About tongue piercing jewelrys

Okay first up- i dunno if this is the right category for it but i got a question.

I got a (classic) tongue piercing 6 weeks ago and i plan on changing the jewelry but i really dont know what kind of material to get? Yk? I dont want to just randomly use something that might damage my body. But i want it to be something to protect my teeth.

I heard acryl should be fine? But dunno, im trying to look out for something rather cute to get.

Is this even the right place to ask about such? Idk. Im open for tips etc tho. I dont bite.

Im just asking since my piercer didnt tell me much.
