How to make friends

So, I wouldn't say I'm exceptionally weird or anything but I find it incredibly difficult to maintain friendships where they actually want to spend time with me or talking to me. I go to a college which is decently far from my house so to see people I have to spend a large time travelling, but nobody will do the same for me? I don't expect it to be every time but damn I'd like to feel like people want to hang out with me haha.

This is more of a rant than a blog, sorry, I don't use the Internet much really.
