So I'm starting a thing where I write one poem or something per day for a month just 'cos.
So today's is one I had started about a week ago and finished today; it's (as the blog title says) a rap-like thing written utilising the Nadsat lingo from the novel "A Clockwork Orange").
Anyways, enough chit-chat, here's the poem:
Everything is fine until I change upon a dime
And now I'm sitting in this cold room doing mental mental time, I’m
waiting for the clock to chime upon my payment for my crime
Sitting in this damn room doing mental mental time
That damn rozz don’t know what’s up inside of my head
How I look alive but inward I just want to be dead
He just yells out of his rot to do what he done said
Listen here you sod you ain’t nothing but a blockhead
Everything is fine until I change upon a dime
And now I'm sitting in this cold room doing mental mental time, I’m
waiting for the clock to chime upon my payment for my crime
Sitting in this damn room doing mental mental time
Britva ‘gainst my shoulder, problems bigger than a boulder
Watching the red krovvy run, waitin’ for my time to just be done
Sittin’ on me oddyknocky, with an arm that’s red and soggy
Is it too much ask-a to go get some spatchka
Everything is fine until I change upon a dime
And now I'm sitting in this cold room doing mental mental time, I’m
waiting for the clock to chime upon my payment for my crime
Sitting in this damn room doing mental mental time
