I want to start this off by saying WOW. These last two months have been full of adventure, sadness, and the silliest of events unfolding in front of my cursed eyes. For starters, I played an acoustic set last month. Needless to say, it went very well. I played a mix of Will Wood covers and original songs. Covering "Vampire Reference in a Minor Key" proved challenging, but fun! I learned a lot of lessons from playing this show and am hoping to play more in 2024.

I also had to move (again). I was a painter for a friend of mine. We painted both commercial and small jobs. I got to paint the big wood pillars at the REI in Seattle! I did many jobs that I had a lot of fun doing. However, after paying for a trip to NYC and Florida in December, I had barely enough for rent and my other expenses for the month. My boss failed to pay me because he cited that he was not paid by customers yet. Because of this, I lost my place and now am living with my family again until I find a stable income and build a good savings account. However, this taught me a great lesson. It is good to have great savings for when hard times hit, you are prepared. It's common sense, but I am a very impatient person. I need to be better when it comes to getting things promptly. Whether it be health, finance, or spiritual goals, I have got to be better at being patient.

Speaking of going to New York and Florida, me and some friends went on a trip for a weekend and had a blast. Myself, Jacob, Jesse, Dyami, and Aiden did so much while we were there. From seeing the Statue of Liberty to going ice skating at Rockefeller to seeing LAUNDRY DAY open for Quarters of Change and much more, we had a blast! After New York, I flew back to Florida for a few days with Aiden, while Jacob, Dyami, and Jesse flew back to Seattle. Seeing my father and the old church was quite nice. My pastor is so great, and I'm eternally thankful for him. When I was in college, he drove two hours every Sunday to grab me for church and get me home. He is super cool and I pray for him and his church often. Now that I am back home, I am making plans for what I want to do with myself this year. My hope is to have my debut album out by June 2024. Many songs on it I wrote in high school so I am looking forward to sharing that part of myself with the world.

UNTIL NEXT TIME!
