Just saw the new movie adaptation of The Color Purple :D

It was really good tho! They kinda did like a combination of the best parts of the stage play and the original movie adaptation (both of which I've seen) and it was just so perfect!!! I'm a lil sad that Mister didn't sing Celie's Curse tho, I absolutely love that song, but I can see how it wouldn't have fit well with everything else they put in. They also decided to completely eliminate the conflict in Celie and Shug's relationship and focus more on the conflict in the relationship between Shug and her dad which I liked a lot! 10/10 I cried several times.
