AJ Soprano starts rapping and bleeding out his ass

Tony and Carmela are still separated, but they agree to attend AJ’s school concert together. AJ is nervous about performing a rap song he wrote with his friends, which contains violent and misogynistic lyrics. He also has a secret: he has been experiencing rectal bleeding, which he thinks is his first period. He confides in Meadow, who tells him to see a doctor, but he refuses.

Meanwhile, Christopher and Paulie are assigned to collect money from a record producer who owes Tony. They discover that the producer is working with a famous rapper, who happens to be Norton, Simon’s friend from 7th Heaven. Norton recognizes Christopher and Paulie from the news, and tries to impress them with his rap skills. Christopher and Paulie are not impressed, and they demand their money. The producer says he doesn’t have it, and offers them a share of Norton’s upcoming album instead. Christopher and Paulie agree, but they also take Norton’s gold chain and watch as collateral.

At the concert, AJ’s rap song causes a stir among the parents and teachers, who find it offensive and inappropriate. Tony and Carmela are embarrassed and angry, and they confront AJ after the show. AJ tells them that he was just expressing himself, and that rap music is his passion. He also reveals that he has been bleeding from his anus, and that he thinks he has a period. Tony and Carmela are shocked and confused, and they take him to the hospital.

At the hospital, the doctor tells them that AJ doesn’t have a period, but he has a mild case of ulcerative colitis, a chronic inflammatory bowel disease.
