I’ll just say right now that I… like Pokémon.
I don’t think I have enough nostalgia for Pokémon to love it outside of fixations but I really like Pokémon. It has its problems though and it’s going to be obvious as hell which I’m talking about but like holy shit Pokémon does NOT need yearly game releases. Please learn from Atari’s mistakes unless you want to make a bootleg Chuck E’ Cheese.
If Pokémon’s gonna be like Sonic and Mario [video game franchises that refuse to die] then maybe prolong its longevity by releasing better games in a longer development cycle?? And also not release on exclusively Nintendo hardware. And not strictly make 3D shit like every other company [cough— DISNEY].

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is like… okay. It’s not the best but it’s not as bad as people say it is.
Story-wise, it’s a standard Pokémon game. And that one dyed hair and pronouns girl [please I’m joking I’m not right-wing] should probably have been punished for like, embezzlement?? But the Area Zero stuff was kind of cool I guess.
Graphics-wise, I fucking HATE it. I hate the graphics in that game. It’s not egregious but goddamn it’s so bland. It’s like the Pokémon version of Disney’s Wish. The environments are so just dull and that’s like, really bad for an open world game like Pokémon. As in… the environments are just kind of there. It leaves much to be desired. Not much else to them. Or maybe I’m just growing up?

I also really do not think we need any more Pokémon because like holy hell there’s literally over a thousand of them registered now please we don’t need more I beg of thee.
I think Game Freak needs to listen to the fans, since they’re going down the Franchise That Refuses To Die path. Same with Marvel. Which is entirely unrelated and I’m digressing. But Game Freak needs to desperately listen to the fans since the Scarlet and Violet games have received noticeable backlash online, mainly for the graphics and glitches [that circles back to fans begging Game Freak to not pump out Pokémon content every year].
And also not strike down fanmade content, too?? But I think that’s just a Nintendo issue I’m not enough of a Nintendo fan to really know about.
