When a pedophile buys Tony Soprano a gumball at BlockBuster and Tony sees him on the news later that night

Tony and Carmela are at Block Buster, looking for a movie to rent for their anniversary night. Tony spots a gumball machine near the entrance and decides to get one for himself. He inserts a quarter and turns the knob, but nothing comes out. He tries again, but still no luck. He starts to get frustrated and bangs on the machine.

A obese man with blonde hair, who is browsing the comedy section, notices Tony's predicament and walks over to him. He introduces himself as Bob and offers to buy Tony a gumball. Tony is surprised by the gesture, but accepts it. Bob puts a quarter in the machine and gets a gumball. He hands it to Tony and says he's a big fan of his waste management business. Tony thanks him and pops the gumball in his mouth.

Bob then asks Tony if he can take a picture with him, saying he collects photos of celebrities. Tony agrees, but feels a bit uneasy. Bob takes out his phone and snaps a selfie with Tony, who forces a smile. Bob then says he has to go, but hopes to see Tony again. He leaves the store, waving at Tony.

Tony and Carmela finish their movie selection and head to the counter. Tony tells Carmela about Bob and the gumball. Carmela thinks it's weird, but shrugs it off. They pay for their rental and leave.

Later that night, Tony and Carmela are watching the movie on their couch, cuddling. Tony gets up to get some snacks from the kitchen. He turns on the TV in the kitchen and flips through the channels. He stops at a news report, where he sees a familiar face. It's Bob, being arrested by the FBI for running a child pornography ring. Tony is shocked and disgusted. He spits out the gumball and throws it in the trash. He turns off the TV and goes back to the couch, feeling sick. He tells Carmela he's not feeling well and wants to go to bed. Carmela is concerned, but agrees. They turn off the movie and go upstairs.

The episode ends with a shot of the gumball in the trash, slowly dissolving.
