iPod

ipods!!I LOVE MY IPODDDDDDDDD GET YERSELF AN IPOD FOR REAL

My uncle modded mine, it's got a purple backplate and scroll wheel!! 5th gen iPod video baybee!!

In case anyone has an iPod (5th gen as that's what I'm more experienced in,) I can tell u how to do some stuff w/ it!!

How to add Music

  • Download the latest version of iTunes the Apple website has to offer (I'm sure it is still out of date, so you still need to update it once you download. It doesn't take long!)
  • Next, either add songs via drag and drop (if already downloaded), or rip CDs, or buy your albums/songs!
  • Now, get your 30-pin iPod cable (the charger it came with, or any 30-pin.) and connect it to a usb slot onto your computer. Connect the 30-pin cable into the iPod now.
  • Now, you can either drag and drop specific albums onto the iPod or sync all music in your library onto your iPod. Depending on how many songs, the time will vary. If you added a TON of music (10+ gigabytes), just walk away from your computer and give it a solid while. 10+ gigabytes is a little more than 1500 songs!
  • Once iTunes displays that all media is done syncing, EJECT IT. DO NOT JUST PULL THE CORD OUT!! If you do pull the cord out immediately like a dummy, it could mess up your iPod real bad.
  • Now you can enjoy your music!

Adding Videos

  • To add videos onto your iPod, first prepare what video you need/want to put on it.
  • Find the video, drag and drop it onto iTunes.
  • Don't be scared if you do not find it at first, find the tab under the row with File Edit, ect. and look at the tab that says movies. Click on that
  • Next, you click on the row that says Home Videos. Your newly added media will be there!
  • Right click on the video you added, and click on Movie Info (the 3rd option) and tap on Options. Change the media kind to Movie (only one that will properly show on your iPod, I've tried other options, but Movies is the only one iTunes will let you display on the iPod without buying something from iTunes.)
  • Now after you've changed the media kind, go ahead and edit the title to however you'd like. Name your video!!
  • Before you try and add the video to your iPod, left click the video to select it. Go to File and click Convert (4th option from bottom), and click "Create iPod or iPhone video" (you cant directly add the videos, idk why).
  • Wait for the video to convert (which will take a while) and now you can finally drag and drop the video onto your iPod, or if you've downloaded a video series, sync all movies in your iPod.
