Report Blog Entry
Idk if this is "early" to make resolutions lol, but I thought I should plan some out. Why not? I usually don't but maybe it'll do something. I have heard that the trick is to keep them very simple, specific, and achievable. Also, I plan to revisit these at the end of 2024 and give an update on what my progress has been like lol
1. Pass 1 class. Just ONE class, at LEAST. IT'S NOT THAT DIFFICULT!!
2. Create a neocities site. I'm trying to get more into HTML and CSS and this is the perfect way to force myself to practice those skills in a fun way. Now, it doesn't matter if it's a simplistic neocities site... as long as I've gotten it started and it's officially online, I've made really good progress lol
3. Start actually working on my fancomic idea. I have had fanon lore for Vroom in the Night Sky brewing in my mind for literal years now, since like 11th grade, that I'm actually proud of. I really want to actually release some of it in the form of finished art and cement my role as the #1 Vroom in the Night Sky fan.
4. Improve my editing skills/practice more After Effects. Make 1 "more advanced" fan edit (this means actual motion, masking... using actual Ae features that set it apart from what you can do in Premiere Pro).
5. Upload 3 YouTube videos, seriously, as a content creator. Another thing I've wanted to do now for a while but haven't yet for some reason.
6. Work on the Kart Kingdom Wiki more.Β Specifically, moving user articles to blog posts and finishing the KK Blog Post articles. If you didn't know, I'm an admin on that fandom wiki... being an admin on any fandom wiki is actually next-level pathetic lol, but that's just me in general. Actually, it's probably one of the few things that I do that I can actually be proud of. So.
7. Read a novel.Β I really want to read more lol. This past year, I read Jurassic Park for the first time, and a couple Jurassic World books made for children. And of course, I've been reading the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series and some manga here and there. But I want to expand my reading horizons a little. I really want to read Snow Crash after reading about how it influenced early virtual worlds and stuff. And obviously, having read Jurassic Park, I want to read The Lost World as well.
I'd say those are all my main goals for next year. There's some other stuff I have in mind, but I don't want to overdo it, y'know? If I manage to get all of these done by the end of 2024, I will treat myself somehow. Idk. I'll probably order something that I've wanted to buy for a long time lol -- I'm usually very hesitant about that stuff. Maybe I'll have a little music-and-pizza party by myself, idk. Me accomplishing anything is very rare, you know.

me and some other users already agreed on moving the user pages to another wiki back then but we just haven't done anything yet. i checked and the kart kingdom users wiki that existed before has been deleted so maybe we can make it again?
Oh okay, I wasn't aware that you guys were planning on just making another wiki! That might be a good idea, but I'm afraid that it'll be hard to keep activity up on it to prevent it from getting deleted, you know? Since the game's closed, that means there won't be any new pages once we finish moving the pages we have over. And people might only edit it every now and then.

the other idea i proposed was to move it to a separate namespace on the main wiki and i think that would be better than moving them to blog posts.

dude my New Year's resolution is to just fucking clean my room and do laundry without getting PTSD flashbacks
Oh man, I wish you luck on that. I know that stuff is no joke -- why do you think I've transferred from irl college to an online college and then gotten dismissed because my GPA was too low? I transferred to online because I couldn't get myself to go to class, but then my time management and planning skills were too lacking to properly do online school lol. Now I'm just trying to get a certificate at a community college and go from there. It's tough out here fr.
Even small progress is still progress, though (that's why my goal is to just pass one class lol)! I'm rooting for you!
