Current corporate artstyles

I just need a place to put down my thoughts and here is the best I can think of. Maybe even discuss it with people.

Corporate Memphis sickens me. Like physically.
I'm not gonna pretend I got to live out the glory days of Frutiger Aero (I did, I was just a dumb 1-10 year old who didn't appreciate things.) but the new, common corporate art style makes me so mad. It's dull, it's boring, it's soulless, and it's bland. It's the clipart slop of the modern day and it feels so disingenuous.

Don't get me wrong, Frutiger Aero was all fake. All of it. It was to make companies look better by inflicting these happy, eco friendly designs on every surface so people saw them associating themselves with it and thought "Oh cool they're saving the environment". I acknowledge that full well, but at least there was color there. There was legitimate visual stimulus and optimism. That was the more mainstream point of F.A. It was to be optimistic about the future. Now it's all dull and bland and just meaningless shapes. I don't look at modern advertisements and feel anything but annoyance and disgust about the look of it.

I want a revival of this. I'm really holding out for it, but I know it might never come. I want the bubbles and I want the fish. The blobjects and the transparent plastics and the funky seasons. I want it all, because now that I'm old enough to appreciate it, it hits me so much harder that I didn't. I couldn't. I was a little kid. I didn't know what was going on around me, I just saw the cool looking advertisements and thought they looked good. I would do anything to go back and be there. To see all the colors and advertisements airing naturally when they should be. To be in one of those houses in those commercials. The ones that were mostly white, if not completely. The ones that were eerily empty with nothing on the shelves but maybe a picture frame or vase. I wanna live there.

I don't know though. I just needed to rant.
