I've been seeing a lot of people say that younger generations can't do anything without playing a video or listening to music anymore. I agree, I have developed this, I always feel odd eating without something playing and can't sit in silence well.
But I also realized... I overthink so much, the stimulus is often the only way I can relax. Instead of playing over interactions I had that day or everything I have to do later I can just focus on a random youtube documentary.
I have come to terms with the fact I likely have anxiety the past month. I'm pretty sure this is why I always feel like I've "wasted" so much time listening to music and videos... It may be the only thing that has helped me relax a bit when I'm by myself.

One day death row will be swapped with forcing us to eat a meal without watching anything on the side. Truly an inhumane punishment

I have the complete opposite problem I hate there being too many different noises around me and I'll get sensory overload from that :((
