Experts predict 1 in 3 children born today may live shorter lives than their parents. Quite shocking when you let that sink in. I began to wonder why we aren’t as healthy. The obvious reason: we often choose convenience over healthiness. Don’t believe me? Why have fast-food sales increased 2000% since 1981? “Healthy food” is filled with artificial ingredients and fat.
Approaching the first week of November, I began to notice fewer people at the gym. I will admit to being guilty of skipping workouts and cheating on meals. It’s usually around this time I have to remind myself why I’m trying to stay in shape so that I may continue to live a healthy lifestyle. It can be difficult to stay motivated when we don’t lose weight as quickly as we want or when we reach a plateau. I want to help you guys by breaking down the 4 P’s to lose weight.
1st P is Patience – Having patience can be hard when we plan to lose a certain amount of weight by a particular time. However, it is important to stick to the process and follow the workout plan even when you don’t want to. Sometimes you have to ask yourself, “what does it take to be successful, and do I have the heart to stick this out.”
2nd P is Purpose – Why have you decided to take this journey to a healthier you? Defining your purpose will help you stay focused. It will give your goal a new meaning and help fuel your drive to work hard and not give up.
3rd P is Persistence – Staying persistent with your diet and workout program will help guarantee success. Include exercise in your daily life and stick with it! It won’t be long until your new habit becomes routine.
4th P is Progress – The number one key to happiness is progress. If we’re not progressing we’re doing the same ole thing we’re used to. Succeeding by moving forward gives us recognition; therefore, it leads us to feel good.
