Jazz Band 1

So I'm in jazz band playing trombone. The last 2 days of school before Christmas break we go to all the elementary schools and play Christmas music for the kids. Today we had our first day and it got a bit crazy

We only did 2 schools but it took all day and we got back late despite the fact that we were supposed to be back an hour earlier. Tomorrow we have to do 3 shows in just the morning (it is not going to work). Our band director is actually the WORST at stuff scheduling-wise. Everyone is pissed off about it because he's only giving us 20 mins to tear down, go to the next school, and set everything up. That is not enough time AT ALL.

But anyway things got pretty silly today because my friend and I wore our Frank Iero fingerless skeleton gloves to a catholic school hehe. The kids there were absolutely miserable... And then after that show we got lunch and we were supposed to eat at the next school we were going to. Instead of putting us in a band room or even the cafeteria, they put us in an empty kindergarten room in the basement?? Like there was one table with 4 chairs for around 20-25 of us.

The shows themselves went pretty well except for the first half of the second one where something got caught in my throat and I couldn't really breathe or control my air lmao. The acoustics have been better in all the elementary schools compared to the high school so the sound is REALLY nice
