felt hopelessness when i saw someone around the same age as me being better at drawing but did some introspection and came out with life advice

sorry for the long title but it feels like a revelation to me and i wanna get it out there. so heres me paraphrasing what i said in my journal.

"Most of the futures that become present are sub-optimal, and you'll have to work within those futures' conditions to reach the futures you want."

again, this is a revelation to me so idk if theres something better i should know, prolly a wrong lesson to learn, or better way to word this but all i want to do is get this idea out there.
