MIDSUMMER’S NIGHT
All I can hear is the quiet hum of my fan.
Lightning illuminates the hollow room surrounding me.
So cold.
I can smell it; your scent.
How long has it been?
CRUOR
Those dreams of you, remind me that I’ll never be whole again.
That face of yours will never smile in my presence.
Strike me down, make me bleed.
Thrust into me, and stop my wretched heart.
Tear me apart.
CLUB CYBERIA
Blue lights keep me awake late into the hours of the night.
Long enough to watch the sun set, and rise once more.
There is no warmth in this room.
Cold, dark; I am alone.
Trapped eternally in a hellscape of my creation.
My love is only in dreams.
I DREAM OF YOU
Every now and then.
Every night, morelike.
Some are sweet, others bear the crushing weight of reality.
For a small moment when I awake, I think everything’s back to normal.
That when my eyes flutter open, you’ll be there.
But you never are.
Beside me lie a white rabbit,
Splattered red.
STUMBLING FORWARD
December’s cold has set the stage.
I take it with a frog in my throat, and a stake in my heart.
Draw your blade; cut me down.
Stain the snow with my gore.
