Journal Entry #86: 12/17/23 - Hi-Fi Rush, Guys, and Wasting Time

Guess who now has time to post more than once a week! (Spoiler: it's me.)

I've been continuing to play Hi-Fi Rush, and man is it funny. Although I'm not a big gamer, few video games make me laugh. Even though sometimes I cannot find the beat even if my life depended on it, it's still super-duper fun, even if I get stuck on some levels and tasks. I've logged about 8 hours of play time and if possible, it would be nice to finish the game before the end of the break. Finished or not, I'm not taking my controller with me after the break. I really wish there were more games like Hi-Fi Rush, colorful sci-fi is the best kind of sci-fi.

One thing I forgot to mention in my last blog post was something that happened almost as soon as I returned from college. I joined my dad to go pick up my sister and saw my high school crush standing in the front yard. Thankfully I was in the car, so he didn't see me, but the sight of him alone smacked me with a bunch of feelings. Ugh! Why must it be this way? At least the feelings went away. In previous entries, I hesitated to call him my crush, but that's what he was. I just don't think I experience crushes the way other people do. Part of me wonders if I should've confessed my feelings before I left, considering I've barely seen him. However, my crush on him wasn't debilitating, so would it really have been worth it? Also, did he know that I had a crush on him? Yeah, he's pretty intelligent, but who knows? Anyway, I probably shouldn't be ruminating on something like this...

I have now spent over a full week at home! Unfortunately, I haven't done much. However, pressuring myself will lead to an unfulfilling break. I just don't want to go back to school and look back at this break and wonder why I didn't do [insert task here]. Part of the hold-up is the fact that I haven't been able to draw digitally. I've seen so many artists post about how they can draw so much more now that they're done with their finals. I've also seen so much cool art! Ugh, I wish I could join them! Hopefully, I can draw digitally again on Christmas when I get my new iPad. 

Speaking of Christmas, I hope to do a Christmas-themed post this week, and a New Year's post later in the month. I do have a lot to say, but it deserves its own post.
