Intro. ˗ˏˋ ★ˎˊ˗
-- RAHHHH 'I AINT READING ALL THAT' yada yada this is a long (like really long) one so don't read if you don't care.
I've been to a couple of concerts and would loveee to document them cause each concert marks a moment in my life. It's hard to talk about concerts without sounding pretentious and brags a lot (but like they are so fun and I love to hear others experiences).
I paid for all my concerts except for one and I'm grateful for each experience and some consider it a waste of money, but I would do it all over again. I go to most of my concerts alone cause I have this weird mindset I wouldn't have much fun if others were around (I am working on this mindset). Next year I plan to go to more with friends but it is so hard finding concerts my friends would ACTUALLY want to go to, there's like one friend but she loves divorced dad music (who doesn't) but the bands are always splitting up, dying, not on tour, retired, or not as good as they were prime *cough* *cough* Slipknot - quit firing the band members... n e ways.... HERES MY CONCERTS I'VE BEEN TO LIST ---

Concert List ₊˚⊹⋆
The Wallows; 22’
Opener: Spilltab
My first ever concert I've been to (that I count anyways) and bought tickets for! I took my friend with me cause it was my birthday and she knew a few songs. The Wallowsremind me of Summer 19' and I got good memories associated with them. Was the best person to bring along to travel with and we danced the entire time. We were mainly in the back and were standing by these group of girls with a dad who was also bobbing his head to the music. I didn't know about getting early and getting a good spot yet, merch line, and bringing a phone charger T-T. Spill tab had such a great vibe and she was a wonderful performer, her and her guitarist had great stage presence. I don't remember much to be honest as it feels like forever ago ahaha.
Rob Zombie; 22’
Opener: Litaford // Rob brought out surprise guest John 5 (who played guitar with his fucking tongue)
This is a concert that was for my friend. She was the one who introduced Rob Zombie to me and omg I fell in love with his sound, it just itches my brain right with how much is going on. THIS IS A MEMORABLE CONCERT FOR SUREEEEE. I had just got a new job and was getting used to the schedule so after work I had to run home and get ready all while preparing to tell my folks I would be going (the year of gaining trust). Luckily I had one okay and didn't wait for the matriarch to question me, so I left to go meet up with my friend. On our way up I saw a couple fucking in a bus as it drove by... so there's the vibe for the night. We listened to a lot of classic rock on the way up and stopped at Sonic so were not gonna pass out. Finally we continued our drive to the venue. The parking situation was absolute ass. There was no directions and a bunch of cars blindly following each other, we found a makeshift parking lot and decided to park there. We later saw a sign saying no parking and that it was for Robs crew XD. Our tiny beat up car next to a semi was a sight for sure.
My friend who is older than me got carded when I didn't, I had just turned 18... I don't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing to be seen as older than I was but nonetheless we got in. We both had a mutual friend who was literally barricade and we kept asking this prep if we could stand by him but he laughed us off (booo). We found an empty pocket and stood right behind these group of bikers who looked simultaneously scary and so cool.
As we were updating our friends who were worried about us, some drunk woman stumbled to me and asked if we were both alone and how old we was. I stared at her and all my home training went out the window. I told her and she told us to stay by them, that they were a biker gang and would watch over us (always and forever grateful for them). When Rob Zombie went on everyone lost their shit, I never heard a crowd of mortocycles and cheering like that before. After every good performance they would rev their motorcycles. Me and my friend were literally right behind them and could feel the heat from the exhaust and vibrations from the engine, shit was insane but so fun.
When 'Everybody is Fucking in a UFO' started playing ?¿?!! MY MFKING SHIT. Me and my friend started headbanging and loudly singing that whole song omg. He played the classics yknow living dead girl and Dracula as his last song omgggg hearing it live was definitely a moment. His visuals were so fitting to the songs and they really added to the performance. The props on stage were very elaborate, there was just so much to look at and take in LMAO very Rob Zombie esq. He even did a small preview showing of his new movie 'The Munsters' !!
When we started to say our goodbyes the biker gang hugged us to say goodbye (they were all a bit plastered LMAO) one of them said to keep rocking on and that he loved our energy, I still think about that and def try to live by his words (nay).. Turns out that biker gang had members that my family knew back when and I was related to one and one was my old bus driver... small world LMAO.
I wish I had got a concert tee that day so bad.
Cigarettes After Sex; 22’
Opener: No Opener
Omg this concert was SOOOO BEAUTIFUL ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! Literally my fav artists for any day and feeling. The vibes, the outfits, the music was just so !ugh! This was my first concert after freshly getting broken up with and I like to think it was a big part in my healing journey. Although I was SURROUNDED by couples of all types and that was salt on a fresh wound...Not much to say about this concert honestly just that it was beautiful and I wanted to cry. Even if I was petty about the couples in the whole venue it was so nice to see them all swaying and having a moment to the songs. Best part of concerts is the people and community, and even if I couldn't relate to being in love anymore, seeing them all in love was so heart-warming and healing to know that love persists. #LovePeopleWatching #NotInACreepyWayThou
Post Malone; 22'
Opener: Roddy Rich
This concert was so random to go to tbh but I got the tickets for my mom and I cause she loves Post Malone and it was like perfect timing for GreyDay. Last minute I had a different friend tag along and may mom (bless her heart fr) let them take the ticket instead of her <3. We were so high up that it gave me vertigo and trying to leave our row??? Literally felt like I could've fell off. Also healing but for my middle school self who loved the Stoney album. I mean you can't go wrong with 'Stay', 'Feeling Whitney', and LIKE SO MORE LMAO. His older stuff is def a guilty pleasure of mine, talk about bittersweet memories of nostalgia. It was such a fun concert, there was 12 and counting bras thrown on stage, his stage presence and use of pyro effects really had you entranced. He was dressed in the most casual wear like idk why but that had me bewildered cause I always had a presumption that singers and performers like went all out in everything even attire. He still def put on a show. He even had tarot readers and psychics around the venue?1!?!
The people dressed up were so random LMAO there was a group of George Washington esq outfits and Shrek was there. A lot of inflatable costumes aswell. My friend was really excited for Roddy Rich, I only know a couple of his songs, but he never showed -_- sad moment.
10/10 would go again and watch as my friend played Papa's Pizzeria during the DJ set again.
Grey Day 22’;
Opener: $uicideboy$, Knocked Loose, $not, Code Orange, Maxo Kream, Jpegmafia, Ski Mask the Slump God
Right after the Post Malone concert me and the friend went to GreyDay THEE concert I was excited for the past year after I couldn't go the prior year. Last minute my friend and I decided to go as Chucky and Tiffany, we looked so hot. There was a lot of Chucky's but... I was the best. I mean they didn't even do the scars on his face. I even spray painted my hair red which fucked up my white hoodie T^T. This was a cold and... interesting night. We got some great spots, bit high up but not as high as we could've been. There was so much people asking for drugs and selling drugs like Jesus XD One literally held up her phone that read 'coke?' I was by my friend and this couple who were really chill, but my poor friend was in front of someone who kept shoving, spilling and yelling right by them. Luckily the girl by her was equally annoyed so they bonded over that xD. Yelling is fine at a concert but like time and place yknow what I mean.
Knocked Loose was a great performer, I just wish the crowd was respectful and knew how to vibe with other artists they weren't familiar with. That was my first time hearing them but shit I know how to rock with them they had great songs. Some people in front of me had like a group head banging circle, they were def looking forward to them.
$not was someone I was personally looking forward to cause Summer of 2020' ? Yeah me n him go back. I don't know how the crowd was but shit I was singing my little heart out. The couple by me were also having a great time with $not and we were going hard on Moon and Stars, a softer song but still good.
SKI MFKING MASK AHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!11!!!!111!!! his set..... his sett UGHHHHHH SSO GOOD. the crowd absolutely loved him you're kidding and he played some of X's songs and the crowd was so loud singing those lyrics. That is the closest I'll get to a Ski and X performance. I got a lot of his performance until my phone FUCKING DIED NOOOOO. Forced me to be in the moment and shit >:( still forever mad that I don't have alot of footage and pictures from this night...Me and my friend freaking scrounged around and found a bootleg seller and bought his Tees though so I got my memorabilia.
the main event... $uicideboy$.... say what you want but I loved them since middle school and I still love them idc. GOD they knew how to work a crowd and ugh their songs were just hit after hit. When they let the crowd sing? beautiful truthfully. It's also like I paid to hear you sing wtf? but nah hearing everyone sing their songs was so surreal like that's why I go to live events. The entire night is why I love concerts.
Kali Uchis; 23’
Opener: Raye
Omg this concert was so AHHHHH. The first concert of the new year. Kali is always gonna be my guilty pleasure singer likeee she is just the seasons Summer and Spring as a person. AND Red Moon in Venus was my most played album according to Apple Music (I know. Hang me.). Like RMIV album is hit after hit and I will ALWAYS love that album but it marked what I believe the peak of my healing journey, her songs just captured my feelings and put them in a song. Doesn't help that while in line I accidentally saw my ex posted up in a new relationship, not like I wanted them or anything LMAO it was just a hit to my building confidence yknow. Just made me sing and feel the songs a little more, its what I needed,Her concert was so breathtaking like dear god is she a beautiful woman, cameras and pictures don't really do her justice. Seeing her in public, singing the songs that I just needed to hear in the moment was all I could ask for. My only problem was the very packed crowd and the pushing was absurd, there literally was a fight during her concert cause of pushing... first of all how you gonna fight at a Kali Uchis concert of all places LMAO.. second of all no one should be fucking pushing, people were literally fainting from how crowded everyone was. Luckily I was by these two great guys and we really bonded of our different music tastes and I still have them on Insta so we had each others back throughout the night.
My phone died halfway in the concert but yknow what I'm literally not even mad. I got videos of other songs that were my fav and I did live in the moment.
Sleeping with Sirens; 23’
Opener: Dayseeker, M.A.G.S
Yknow how most people were either like a MCR, PTV, SWS emo? yeah I was mainly a PTV emo while my sibling was a SWS emo. They had got two VIP tickets and was trying to take their friends when none of them were able to go, so I was a stand in. Which hey im not complaining literally free concert and I knew like two of their most famous songs. I wanted to go to like a more punk show anyways cause that's a big part of my life and this concert was a great beginning.WE WERE SO EARLY IN LINE, when we got in we talked to so many different people they were all so cool, one even got me earplugs which like YES PLZ (everyone needs to wear ear protection). Since we were VIP we got in early and got barricade. THAT WAS MY FIRST TIME AT BARRICADE SAY WHAT. Then SWS did a Q&A which my sibling got to ask a question at, we got a meet and greet (fucking embarrassed myself but yknow T*T). Then the music hit.
M.A.G.S was such a fun singer. His music for me made me feel light and dancey yknow like I really enjoyed myself in his concert. He stayed engaged with the crowd and you can tell others enjoyed it. I was personally marveled on how fucking close I could actually see the artist LMAO like "holy shit youre real" (obi).
Dayseeker is an obvi classic, like even if you think you don't know them, you know them. Now this crowd was FOR them. They knew the words to every song and the artists really thrived off of it (as they should). His heartbreaking song regarding his dad and letting the venue sing it was a moment I'll remember I mean the crowd of lights was breathtaking. ESPECIALLY being in a 'smaller' more intimate venue which I need to go more to. My sibling loves them now and is in their top artists, valid asf.
Sleeping With Sirens was SO GOOD. Even now I think it was the best concert I've been too in regards to the people and common etiquette. I had such a blast and my sibling was able to snag a guitar pick and a setlist, I found a guitar pick off the floor LMAO. There was a few moshes but since I was at the front I couldn't see them but I did feel slight pushing, nothing major the crowd was considerate. 10/10 concert would ABSOLUTELY GO AGAIN
Melanie Martinez Portals; 23’
Opener: Tanukichan
This was a gift to my sibling for them getting me SWS tickets aswell as not getting them a birthday present.... ne ways. The Opener?!?! SHE WAS SO PRETTY AND THE MUSIC WAS SO NICE?! I actually had to look for her to make this blog and now I can listen to her more cause ahhhh she's still memorable to this day, I loved her set sm.Now truth be told I only know her Crybaby album cause I was an eDgY teen and wanted to hear her old songs. NO ONE TOLD ME SHE BURIED CRYBABY LMAO. So when I heard nothing but Portals songs I was a bit flabbergasted to say the least. I mean I love the album now thou so there's that. Most venues I go to are standing room only and these ones were seats which is underrated. I need to be able to sit and stand in line without worrying about my spot lost. THE PEOPLE THERE WERE SO NICE AND BEAUTIFUL LIKE THEY REALLY WENT ALL OUT ON THE OUTFITS !!! so many fae outfits, one literally was in grass military gear LMAO THEN SOMEONE HAD HOOVES LIKE WHAT HOW :0 !!!
The concert was a blast, the choreography was beautiful, the visuals were like a movie. She brought down a giant web?! A dancer almost got caught up in It which was scary. There was one thing that was throwing me off which was the fact she was in her costume and I kept thinking 'this deadass could be someone else and no one would know'. Then at the end she shouted out the state which made me be like 'oh yeah that's her'. Was there for someone else so idk if I had the greatest time cause I was more vibing but nonetheless I enjoyed myself.
Joji; 23’
Opener: Lil toe, Kenny Beats, Savage Realm
THIS WAS SUCH A FUN CONCERT. I got barricade again which is always fun. I bought VIP for myself when I was drugged up from my wisdom teeth removal for when the tickets first dropped, I had a timer on and everything. Being loopy wasn't gonna stop me.I was by two gals who also came by themselves and we shared gummy worms LMAO. They played a small video for VIP and then the security threatened us we'd get removed if we recorded, which is understandable, but they thought we couldn't record the WHOLE concert which was NOT understandable LIKE WHAT. They got it figured out they meant professional cameras and then we became besties with the security guards. The best concert crowd was Taylor swift apparently, very nice, and knew every lyric. Which is like obviously they paid thousands they better be well mannered and knew the songs. Not the biggest Taylor Swift fan at all personally.
We had a blast standing together and I WAS FUCKING DANCING BRUH. Savage MFking Realm K N O W S how to work a crowd and keep them entertained. Like he had the crowd engaged and following around his whole set. His song 'Love me Better' definitely went on my playlist after the night. Lil toe left in the middle of our set to take a shit which made Savage take over for a minute which was so fast if it was improvised. KENNY BEATS WAS SOOO GOOD. I know him from The Cave and yet his mixes was really fucking fun I felt like I was at a rave. Kenny Beats, Savage Realm, and Lil Toe even if they felt different than Jojis vibe they totally set the stage for JOJI concert. I wasn't expecting to rave and party at what I thought would be a chill concert.
Then out came JoJi. He hit bop after bop and his stage presence was very silly for his sadder songs but shit he played the ones with a good beat so it still felt like a small party. Then there was a Glimpse of Us Rave where he threw out his underwear in a cannon?!?! very fucking random but shit had a blast. I got on camera a couple times. I try not to think about it cause I'll get embarrassed but that was still cool LMAO.
Greyday 23’
Opener: Freddie Dredd w/surprise guest Yung Gravy, Ghostmane, Sematary, Ramirez, City Morgue
This one I LOOKED SO COOL. I was a Monster High Doll with my friend from last Greyday. We literally got the tickets last year and been planning to be Frankenstein and his Bride until how tf do I make Frankenstein look hot yknow. So like last year we fucking decided to be last minute and get a new costume. They wanted to see Ramirez but he played the night before and not this night :( sad moment. Me I really wanted to see Ghostmane and Freddie Dredd. I was very shocked when Young Gravys tall ass came out on stage. I don't know him like that so I can't say much but like it was a vibe ig ToT.
GHOSTMANE performance was SOO fucking fire. I wish the crowd was a bit more hyped for him cause are you kidding?/? HE HASNT PERFORMED IN FOREVER LIKE GET HYPED. God they kept referring to the night before and that annoyed me, like are we not good enough :(((. LOVED THE PERFORMANCES THOU. I wish we were in the pit for Ghostmane and City Morgue they would've went so hard, I'd probably die but worth.
AHHhHHHH THE BOYS WERE SO GOOD. Better than last year as this was their first tour fully sober, or California sober. AND THEY DID SO GOOOODDD. Hearing 'I No Longer Fear the Razor Guarding My Heel V" and "That Just Isn't Empirically Possible" LIVE??????!!!!! YESSSSSS !!!!!!! There was this guy who highly cut the line to hang out with a little group my friend and I made while waiting in line LMAO but he sat with us got plastered and made his way to the fucking barricade. A mad man. When the concert ended and we were making our back we saw him and he fucking disappeared again. IDK if he existed. The second hand smoke I got was actually wild LMAO I got the hiccups you get when you inhale wrong from w**d and I knew that the second hand was too strong.
Pierce the Veil; 23’
Opener: LS Dunes, Dayseeker, Destroy Boys
This concert. My most recent concert. I really don't know how to feel about this one LMAO....This is the concert I ever went nonverbal during. I waited in line for 5 ever in the cold to get a good spot, and I did. It's always so funny when alternative folk have to go through metal detectors, I had to remove like 3 pieces of belts in a span of 5 seconds, talk about stress. My sibling was with me since they took me to the SWS concert and I gotta repay them with a PTV concert even if they don't know em like that. They got me 2 shirts and one for themselves. This crowd was one of the worst concert crowd I've been too. Honestly and no hate but white PTV fans suck ass. Now not all of them obvi, but most of them. The pretentiousness of it all like there was almost zero concert ettiequte... but THE AMOUNT OF GOOD LOOKING PEOPLE THERE WAS INSANE. EVERYONE WAS SO DRESSED UP!!!!
Destroy Boys played first and OMGGGGG IN LOVE!!!! LOVE THEM SMMMM. New fan immediately. They truly like captured my attention and did not let go. The dancing... the songs... the stage presence... the crowd work. truly artwork. I think I fell in love during their set ong. but then. they decided they wanted a mosh pit and split the crowd.... bruh. now that was cool and so much fun but then people took that as a chance to get to the front and not mosh which was so not fun, so now the spot I was in was wayyyyyy in the back, but also right next to the ongoing mosh so that was fun.
Dayseeker was a blast to see again. My sibling absolutely fell in love with them at the SWS concert and was excited to see them while knowing their songs, they wanted a headline tour of them so bad then the day after Dayseeker announced one LMAO talk about timing. The crowd didn't know much of Dayseekers songs like SWS crowd did but shit was it still a vibe. The mosh pit was almost cinematic with Dayseekers songs. Dayseeker is such an awesome band with beautiful songs, def undervalued but they're such a classic.
now onto LS Dunes..... I gotta approach this carefully cause I know there is alot of fans of them. Now here's the thing. I rock with their music, truthfully it was my first time hearing them and I did like them. but the set went on for soooo long. Barricade was getting squished so much during this entire concert but LS Dunes didn't notice until security was telling everyone to move back. They did say something once security did but the other openers and PTV said something immediately. Which also goes onto the crowd they did not need to squish so much to be at the front. Also this is more of a me thing, I'm pretty sure my hearing is decaying from not wearing ear plugs so they were really sensitive during this concert, it was like they had the volume at 10000% even the mosh pit had calmed down and was still. This was the first time I had to go nonverbal at a concert LMAO. Still had a blast at their set don't get it twisted just went on a bit longer than we could've handled. There was like no crowd work going on so attention span was low.
AHHHH PIERCE THE VEIL!!!!!! They were my first time I was in a mosh pit ( • ̀ω•́ )✧ and I HAD SO MUCH FUN!!! admittedly I was singing the entire time so I was FUCKING WINDED BRUH. but I survived and had so much fun. CIRCLES?!?!?!?! IN A MOSH?!?!?!?!?! AHHHHHHH CORE MEMORY. When I finally was out of the mosh I was surrounded with istg 6'9 people infront of me. Luckily I was able to maneuver myself infront of them and got a good spot to record my favorite songs. ALSO I caught so many confetti in my mouth?! THEN someone got dropped on me when they were crowdsurfing LMAOOOO but we didn't let them fall all the way and they kept going. SOOOO many crowd surfers and moshes were going on. I don't know how but I got pretty close to the front again and the music was SOO loud, the tinnitus was so bad after I was genuinely scared for my hearing. I saw Tony fucking SWING his guitar by the straps and the trust he had with straps could not be me. Jaime was an absolute blast to watch on stage he was bouncing around EVERYWHERE like his endurance and stamina must be so strong. Now I did say the crowd was a bit insufferable BUT they are also great do not get it twisted. People were caring about the others around them and the community is always what's going to keep me coming back, just yknow I can't stand some people but they'll live and grow and so will I.
Conc. ⛦˙♱⋆☠︎︎⋆♱˙⛧
As you could see my list is very much random and I would love to go to more festivals and rock/metal concerts but they often aren't around my area so sad face, This is also my first time blogging and hope I did well !! All of these concert have been out of state and traveling has also made a dent in my bank acc but the food, gas station and restaurant, is still worth.
The concerts from this year are definitely my more favorite ones as I'm getting more comfortable and used to the scene but my beginning ones will always have a place in my heart. I already have like two lined up next year YAAAYYYYYYY. AND there's a chance I might be able to go to a house show for the new year!!! so excited.
But thx so muchhh for reading (if you did or not... wouldn't blame you LMAO) this took way too long and it shows.
HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAYS AND NEW YEAR AHHHH!!!! ☆*:.。.o(≧▽≦)o.。.:*☆
