I haven't done anything like this since the early/mid 2000's.
Welp, here we go then.
Hi, my name is Pengwen. Full title QwerkyPengwen, but you can just call me Pengwen.
How did I find my way here? Well, it's interesting really.
It all starts with being in a Discord server for the MiSTer FPGA and lurking around the #crt channel when someone posted a link to a short YouTube video of someone showing off their CRT game room. After I finished watching it, the video ends and as usual YouTube shows me some other videos it thinks I should check out inside the player.
Sitting there, in the top right corner was a thumbnail that showed what looked like a girl straight out of the 2000's holding a copy of GTA:SA for the Xbox with the title "normal san andreas review".
Let's just say it's all done intentionally to replicate the raw and awkward weirdness of the 2000's.
After I watched the video, I was curious as to what else this girl has on her channel, and that's when I saw a link to a neocities website which I can only describe as being so 2000's it's more 2000's than the 2000's with randomly plastered gifs everywhere cluttering up the screen, flashing images with subliminal messaging to go buy tshirts on some website cuz it'll get you laid, and other fun things.
On her website though I saw a link on the left hand side that said "My MySpace".
Now, I hadn't used MySpace since it stopped being what made it MySpace and I have fond memories of customizing it, embedding music, and creating a vibe.
So I clicked it, and lo-and-behold, I stumbled across this website, and now I've created a profile, customized it, created a group (which I invite you to come check out. link in my about me), and now am creating my first ever blog post to introduce myself and put down in words how I came to be on this site in the first place.
So with that said, thanks for reading. I think I'm going to start actually blogging and just putting down thoughts and keeping a journal of some kind.
