SpaceHey is awesome. Here's why.

Lately, I've been seeing a lot of people hating on this site, mostly because its userbase is rather young and likes to make call-out posts and DNI lists. I get why people may be annoyed at children for making these posts, but at the same time seeing all this negativity is really starting to bum me out. The truth is that I love this site. To drown out the negativity I know we have all been seeing as of late, I am going to explain why I love SpaceHey.

For one, this site is free of algorithms. I hate modern social media sites because of their algorithms. They are made to shorten our attention spans and keep us hooked on them for hours at a time. The only modern social media sites I have are YouTube and Pinterest, and I haven't used Pinterest in 5 months. When I first found out about this site a year ago, I knew I had to join it. I was seeking a social media experience that was free from ads, tracking, and algorithms. The moment I saw what this site was like, I knew it was exactly what I was looking for.

Secondly, I love the forums and groups on this site. I love scrolling through forums and group posts about all sorts of things. I love seeing what people have to say about their favorite subjects on these groups and forum posts. One of my favorite things to do as of late has been scrolling through forum posts about the supernatural.

Third, I love blogging. I love being able to express my thoughts freely without having to censor myself or keep things within a certain word limit. I genuinely love expressing myself through blogs. Blogs feel personal in a way that a lot of other ways of posting on social media don't. I also love reading though other people's blogs and seeing what is going on in their lives.

Another reason I love SpaceHey is that, as a total 2000s nerd, I love being able to experience something similar to MySpace. I wasn't around to experience the MySpace days, but I've always been interested in the old Internet. I love how I am able to customize my profile on here and add all sorts of fun little graphics, blinkies, and stamps to it.

Finally, I love SpaceHey because this site is one of the only places where I have met people that are just like me. No other social media platform I have been on (not that I've been on many) has had as many scene kids, alternative people, and 2000s enthusiasts as this one has.

Sorry for any grammar mistakes. I wrote this late at night. I might be coming back tomorrow to edit this.
