i do not know how any of this stuff works but whenever i try to play on my ps2 the comp doesnt work? like it turns on and everything but it just sits on a no signal screen. ive tried the trick to change the settings but it still doesnt work. i know its not my tv because my n64 works. ive tried comp to hdmi and that isnt working either it just had a weirder no signal screen
it originally worked perfectly fine? i did leave it connected to everything for a while (i dont remember if i had it completely switched off if that even matters or not) without using it so maybe the amount of power fucked something up??? this thing has not been used in like 15-20 years i really hope it didnt immediately just give up on me
my tv also has more colors than yellow red and white and i saw in a reddit post that maybe thats the issue but idk

similar thing happened to me on n64 though but best bet is replacing the cord its most likely broken or just scrap the cables and you could get this hdmi adapter instead it works pretty great: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07L58VX95?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Try replacing the wire, if it's not that, than you'll have to replace it. But PS2s are wonky, my wife has to wiggle her PS2 to make it read discs.
