best way to die (poem!! tw: death, some wound mentions)

to one day have your eyes close

and never flick back open

no pools of red

no wounds, but instead

a peaceful body meant to lie

no clouds of grey across the sky

to let nature take you by the hand

instead of peril and sadness

and a broken body never meant to last

to fall back

sprawled out in a field

limp and cold

yet a full and prospering life to behold

stories to tell

promises you kept

for years and years and years on end

instead of troubles standing in the way

leaving nothing but a slash to the hand

and a sudden, eerie death
