House of Roots & Ruins

I finished House of Roots & Ruin by Erin A. Craig and absolutely loved it. Totally gave it a 5-star rating. It is the 2nd book in the Sisters of Salt series but honestly, if you didn't read the 1st book (House of Salt & Sorrows) it really wouldn't affect the reading all that much. The book pretty much does some 1st book summing up pretty well without making the reader feel like they missed something major from the 1st book. So all in all I'd recommend it for sure, even if you haven't read the 1st. Generally, I wouldn't recommend any books that are part of a series but I would think that this one could be a rare exception.

If you like ghosts with a bit of mystery, definitely check it out.
But eh, that's just me. ;p
