pining for convention maid cafes

pre rona i managed my local anime convention's maid café.  i met so many wonderful people and had such a blast.  this is a pic of me in a green room about to be super cringe and embarrassing on the local morning news to promote the con and the café.  Have you ever worked at a convention?  When will it be safe to go to conventions again?  Will I ever feel too old for this stuff? (I'm currently 36)  I kind of want to invest in getting my crew better uniforms but I just don't know what the future holds.
