Okay so basically I'm not a reader, or used to be, I never understood the point of reading especially a novel because to me it seemed like the exhausting version of enjoying a story. I usually sticked with movies and such and even those are often too boring for me (for whatever reason) BUT! I've came back to the book i bought over a year ago and "forgot about"/ gave up on, it is called "Book of Night" and I absolutely enjoyed it, although I have read basic criticism towards the writing choices and such, which also agree with, but overall was I so addicted to the story and finished the abandoned book within 4 days which is a Meister Leistung for me if I may say so myself.
It's basically about a our world if shadows could become alive through feeding them blood, there's this whole society about humans wakening their shadows and shadows detaching from their humans and all that. Our protagonist Charlie is not so interested in it and she's more of a thief. However that's all in her past now and she wishes to have a normal life which fails miserably and I'm also very much emotionally attached to Vince and I cannot wait for part two to release in January.
