Dr Phil sending Tony Soprano to Turn About Ranch

Tony Soprano is surprised when he finds Dr. Phil and his crew waiting for him at his home. Dr. Phil tells him that he has been selected for an intervention, and that he has no choice but to come with him to the Dr. Phil show. Tony refuses, but Dr. Phil reveals that he has a court order and the support of Tony’s family, who are concerned about his mental health and criminal activities. Tony tries to resist, but Dr. Phil’s crew subdues him and drags him to a van.

At the Dr. Phil show, Tony is confronted by his wife Carmela, his children Meadow and A.J., his therapist Dr. Melfi, and his cousin Christopher. They all express their love and worry for Tony, and urge him to change his ways. Dr. Phil also shows Tony footage of his violent and illegal acts, and questions him about his morality and responsibility. Tony is defiant and angry, and accuses Dr. Phil of being a fraud and a hypocrite. He also insults and threatens his family and Dr. Melfi, and denies having any problems.

Dr. Phil then announces that he has a solution for Tony: he is going to send him to Turn-About Ranch, a therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens in Utah. He explains that Tony will have to live and work on a ranch, and learn to respect authority, follow rules, and cooperate with others. He says that Tony will also receive counseling and education, and that he will not be allowed to contact anyone outside the ranch until he completes the program. Tony is shocked and outraged, and refuses to go. He says that he is not a teenager, and that he is not going to be treated like a child. He also says that he is not going to leave his family and his business, and that he will not survive in Utah. He tries to escape, but Dr. Phil’s crew restrains him and escorts him to a plane.

The episode ends with Tony arriving at Turn-About Ranch, where he is greeted by the staff and the other teens. He is given a cowboy hat, boots, and a horse, and told to follow the ranch rules. He is also assigned a roommate, a rebellious and sarcastic boy named Jesse. Tony looks around, and realizes that he is in a nightmare. He wonders how he will get out of this situation, and what will happen to him and his family. He also wonders if Dr. Phil was right, and if he really needs to change. He sighs, and follows Jesse to their cabin.
