Report Blog Entry
They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery,
but does that mean anything when day after day you see me becoming an exact copy of you?
I take your mannerisms and interests. Your heroes and your friends. Your favorite color
and the way you wear your hair. I have become the master of whatever -ology you fall under.
I spend less of my time in school and more of it learning about how you walk. I would walk
for hours in my room, carefully copying what I see you do. Which foot you tend to start with
and which side of your body you lean more weight into. I grow my finger nails to the length yours
are at. If our eyes aren't the same color I will have to buy contacts.
I want you to stare at me and
see a mirror. I want to be able to predict you with such accuracy that I can say the things you want
to before you have the room to speak your mind. I want to crawl into your head and live in there
with you, to see what thinking like you is like. I want to study psychology just so that I can
train my mind into having the same personality and thought patterns as you.
I want to be able to pull off each one of your emotions in a perfect manner.
Cry like you, scream like you, smile like you, laugh like you.
I want to be you.
When I get away with it, as a copy of who you are, I want to lock us in a room together.
I want you to scream and cry at what I've done. I want to mutilate your own image in front
of you. I need to see how you react to someone who has learned to copy the way you
breathe. It's less about love and more about power.
We are going to die in that room together.
Then, when we are reincarnated, you can do it to me.

This is a really cool perspective that reminds me of the whole "stare into the abyss" idea.
It's like destroying yourself besides the one part of you that yearns for the obsession for power over that person, for the ultimate goal of being able to experience the same thing happening to you; a sadistic and masochistic piece that is intense and brings up interesting ideas and a variety of subjects to research and ponder upon.
