I've always felt really stiff in my movement no matter what I'm doing and I've ALWAYS wished I was more naturally flexible. I wish I knew earlier in life that you could train flexibility cuz I would've started sooner. I thought you just were or you weren't for a while. I'm taking flexibility training classes at my pole studio now but I really don't know how long it takes to see progress. We were doing jade splits in class today and I spent the entire time thinking I was completely messing it up but actually I was doing it pretty well I'm just not capable of a proper split.

Also IT HURTS SOOOO MUCH MORE THAN IT LOOKS LIKE IT SHOULD I'm so fucking bruised near the top of my femur like wtf. A lot of the flex classes finish up by slowly progressing into the splits as far as you can and holding it and so far I've managed to get this far.
It feels very different doing it upside down in the air tho, I can't really rely on my weight to push myself further. Still, when I started the flex classes I didn't think I'd already be able to go as far as I did initially! My form was not right in the last class I took tho and I fucked up my knee for a minute so like it's a work in progress lol.
