Switching from Medical Science to Music and audio technology major (In a magnet HS)

My friend told me it feels like high school musical. I can't disagree because my major's class is the highlight of my day. Unlike in the Medical Science major, the atmosphere is more bright and happy in general. I switched out of it, but from the time I spent there it was horribly depressing. 72 questions in 40 minutes for a test, and it was just November, for the Freshman class by the way. The teacher didn't bother to properly teach the subject in the beginning, imagine now, where she isn't speed-reviewing the notes anymore, and just expecting the students to review for the tests by reading their books. Half of the major cheats anyway and the period I had it in doesn't even try to hide the fact that they're cheating. The classroom smelled very sterile, like a doctor's office, and strong of Nitrile gloves. And some of the students (mostly males) were really cocky and arrogant, which also showed a bit more harshly when I told them I switched (they probably thought I gave up because it was too hard). My opinion on Medical Science as a high school major? Be prepared for the worst I guess. If your mental stability is unwell entering this major will do wonders in worsening it! It doesn't get better in med school or the occupation either. If you really want to, go for it. For my school, medical science must've been the easiest major to get into since there were so many. Or maybe it's because of the high demand of medical professionals. Either way after this wonderful 2 months of taking Medical Science I do respect medical professionals and students way more than I did, and empathize for the struggles they may go through. In my personal opinion, switching majors was the best thing I did. I hold very high standards regarding my grades, however I'm not good at studying. Besides that, I still do very well in school. But with Med-sci, the way the teacher taught it made it weirdly difficult to retain even by attempting to study for me. I studied by reading the entire chapter--which was 15 pages--and reviewed the notes and still got a 66!! If I stayed in that major I would've had some bigger problems at the moment with my grades. And compared to Med-sci, the music major is a paradise. I get to play my violin all period long. And don't forget about tech rehearsals nearing a performance. I love psychology, but maybe just as an hobby involving independent research in my free time, not as a whole major where I'm not even covering the topic I'm interested in 94% of the time. Do what makes YOU happy people, don't try and pretend to like or be something/someone you aren't for someone else's pleasure.  Have a good Night/Day!
