hmmm, well see it like how you like a niche like kpop or an a culture, so to speak. Like seeing what interests you from them and just diving deep into an endless rabbit hole of websites and generally Wikipedia pages and maybe some videos here and there.
Ever since I got hands on with the internet at the young age, I've been so engrossed in internet culture that is predominantly American and European, and like learning those interesting bits about them - like for example their foods, quirks, beautiful accents, the routines they do at home which is mostly normal but some are unique to their culture, and their clothes. Oh, their beautiful clothes filled with traditions and some of their own heritage/history... and soon, learning to appreciate the bigger picture that makes them different from others. And how they do their makeup, and realizing Eastern and Western makeup trends are wayyy wayyy different from one another but are both beautiful in their own way.
And especially the food. Ohmygosh from tacos to bread with beans or something, and like salads, then those sushis in Japan, then the kimchi and tteokbokki in South Korea... the list goes on!!
As a Filipina who grew up in the Philippines, it was so cool learning about our own culture, like the historical, precolonial times with the cool outfits and tribes and stuff, traditions, social groups and whatnot. People are so diverse and aesthetic in their own way
And I've learned from my mom who worked in America that they're pretty darn health-conscious - having allergen warnings every once in a while, the gluten-free, vegan stuff, that's so amazing and appreciative.
I mean history can get cringe, and by cringe I mean super offensive soooo yeah I dont really go too deep into that. But in terms of general culture and lifestyles, it's so interesting to fun and read about ^^

The "it's so COUNTRY" part tho yikesss I can't
filipino culture aint that mainstream as korean or japanese culture but sis brooo cut us some slack
And from what I heard, filipino food is more pricey there at your place?? Like??? oh em gee those stuff are common at the philippines and yet it's like a rare delicacy there?? meanwhile mexican cuisine, japanese, chinese food stuffs are everywhere and just
Just channel your inner filipino and yeet yourself into the culture /hj
But seriously tho, learn it at your own pace. It's kinda cool. Not at all perfect, but cool.
also sadly a part of filipino culture is lost due to HISTORY but is somewhat maintained by some native tribes or something.
INFO DUMP:
Like uhhh textiles and patterns are cool. Also the banana ketchup thing because bananas are more common than tomatoes. Karaoke nights with the old thicc tv and loud ahh buttons. Birthdays with spaghetti and takeaways. Woven baskets and mattresses.
AND THE HOUSES WITH WOODEN STILTS YEAHHHH (bahay kubo/nipa huts)
There's also the things with culture or uhhh manners where you address older people with kindly names or something like ate "older sister", kuya "older brother" and the "mano po" thing for greeting elders.
In many families, afternoon naps are common ala siestas; and sometimes there's a belief that sleeping in the afternoon will make children grow taller or something??
At some schools, students clean classrooms afterward and one cleaning material is a coconut husk "lampaso" and you need to scrub the smooth concrete floors with that and floor wax, generally a red color.
No sign of lockers from the schools I attended, but we use backpacks. Also lots of broken chairs and school projects where you have to contribute electric fans or allowance for repainting or extra chairs
Also the cool filipino mythologies with monsters, malevolent witches and whatnot. And uhhhh nature deities too. It's insane
